Card holders (a.k.a. DiscountSmart members)
The Terms and Conditions of DiscountSmart are provided to explain and define the rights and responsibilities of DiscountSmart and its members.
Each member agrees, without reservation, to all the terms and conditions outlined here and holds DiscountSmart, its agents and representatives, free from any and all liability that may result from this agreement between the member and DiscountSmart.
By using our site, you consent to our privacy policy and to the terms and conditions set forth in this document.
Membership in the DiscountSmart program
In signing up to be a member of the DiscountSmart program, you agree to pay an annual membership fee of $25. This annual fee gives you a one-year membership in the DiscountSmart program, entitling you to special discounts on the goods and services you purchase from DiscountSmart’s participating vendors. DiscountSmart members agree to show their valid DiscountSmart card to participating vendors in order to realize the discounts they offer through the DiscountSmart program.
Use of your personal information
DiscountSmart will ask for certain information from you when you register to be a card-carrying member of the program. Data that is marked with an asterisk (*) is required and must be entered or the registration will be incomplete and we will be unable to fill your request for a DiscountSmart card.
Any data we request that is not required will be specified as voluntary or optional.
When registering on the DiscountSmart site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number. The information DiscountSmart collects from you may be used in one of the following ways:
• To personalize your experience. Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs and work with participating vendors to offer DiscountSmart card members the best possible pricing on the things they need every day.
• To process transactions. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to anyone else for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of mailing your DiscountSmart card directly to you.
• To send periodic emails. The email address you provide will be used to send you information and updates pertaining to special pricing offered by participating vendors, to alert you to additions to the DiscountSmart participating vendor list, to inform you about additional specials offered by DiscountSmart vendors; in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, promotions and so on.
If for any reason you would like to have your email address removed from our database, please contact the DiscountSmart team and include your email address in your request for removal.
Protection of your personal information
DiscountSmart implements a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you register for or renew your existing membership in the DiscountSmart program.
These security measures include password protected directories and databases to safeguard your information, along with other data-protecting technology to ensure that your information is fully encrypted and sent across the Internet securely. DiscountSmart also protects its computer servers from hackers and other vulnerabilities in order to keep your information secure.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.
Marketing/advertising of DiscountSmart special pricing
Periodically, DiscountSmart will send members an email newsletter featuring information about special DiscountSmart pricing, new vendors, company news and so on. DiscountSmart also maintains a website for members’ convenience, on which they will find information about participating vendors, special pricing and so on. DiscountSmart takes full responsibility for the information contained on its website. However, DiscountSmart is not responsible for the accuracy, content, usage or availability of the information contained on individual participating vendors’ websites. Members can verify the information they see on a participating vendor’s website by contacting the vendor directly.
Third party links
Occasionally, at our discretion, DiscountSmart may include or offer third party products or services on its website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. DiscountSmart has no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, DiscountSmart seeks to protect the integrity of its site and welcomes any feedback about these sites.

Vendor Terms & Conditions
DiscountSmart Terms and Conditions of Use
The Terms and Conditions of DiscountSmart are provided to explain and define the rights and responsibilities of DiscountSmart and its participating vendors.
Each Vendor agrees, without reservation, to all the terms and conditions outlined here and holds DiscountSmart, its agents and representatives, free from any and all liability that may result from this agreement between the Vendor and DiscountSmart.
Payment of annual fee
Vendors who wish to participate in the DiscountSmart program agree to pay an annual fee of $250. For this consideration, participating vendors are included on the DiscountSmart website, have the opportunity to create an information page about their business to be posted on the DiscountSmart web site, and will be included in DiscountSmart marketing, advertising and e-mail newsletters sent exclusively to DiscountSmart card holders.
Participating vendors agree that the fee of $250 is renewable yearly and must be received at DiscountSmart by the expiration date in order for the vendor to be considered an ongoing member of the program. Nonpayment of the $250 annual fee will result in removal of the participating vendor’s web page from the DiscountSmart website and the vendor will no longer be listed as a participating vendor of the DiscountSmart program in its marketing materials. Reinstatement can and will take place upon payment of the annual fee as long as the Vendor remains in compliance with all other terms and conditions as outlined in this document.
There is no long-term commitment or timeframe in which a participating vendor must continue to remain active by paying their annual participation fee. Vendors may cancel their subscription at any time by contacting DiscountSmart; however there will be no refund, in whole or in part, of the annual fee paid for participation in the DiscountSmart program.
Participating Vendors agree that DiscountSmart may terminate the relationship with them at any time for nonpayment of the annual fee, for refusing to offer discount pricing to DiscountSmart card-carrying members as stipulated in the participating vendor agreement, or for inappropriate misrepresentation of the DiscountSmart program.
Providing member discounts for DiscountSmart card holders
Participating vendors agree to make discounted prices available to members of the DiscountSmart card that are not available to the general public in order to maintain the value of card membership. Each Vendor is responsible for establishing the discount they will offer to DiscountSmart members. Participating vendors agree to educate their employees about the procedures for accepting DiscountSmart cards and applying all applicable discounts in order to minimize hassles to DiscountSmart card holders and prevent tarnishing the image of the DiscountSmart program.
DiscountSmart marketing, advertising and networking
Participating vendors agree that their participation in the DiscountSmart program includes additional marketing and advertising opportunities via the DiscountSmart web site, email newsletters, and other promotional events at no additional cost outside of the annual fee.
The website created for participating vendors and included on the DiscountSmart website will not contain vulgarities, adult content or anything else deemed inappropriate by DiscountSmart. Websites that contain inappropriate materials will be removed from the DiscountSmart site and the participating vendor’s membership in the DiscountSmart program may be terminated pending a review by DiscountSmart staff.
